WHY???
Why we ask and why indeed,
Why the hatred, why the greed.
Whats the reason for the fight,
Who is wrong, who is right ??
None will lose and none will win,
So why do all these wars begin ?
A question with no answer clear,
Its consequence just death and fear.
For those involved, the death toll mounts,
An endless list of body counts,
The media vultures, circle near
To film the grieving mothers tear.
The politicians call the shots,
From air conditioned suites.
But they dont face the touch of death,
That stalks the blood soaked streets.
The west stands by, its hands are tied,
It cannot stop the killing.
But then, as there's no oil involved
Perhaps they just aren't willing !!
